T-Mobile Park SunTracker: Find the Shaded Seats
T-Mobile Park has a roof, but on a dry day it is usually open and the sun gets into plenty of seats. Pick your game and the SunTracker shows you, section by section, where it lands. Then slide inning by inning and see how the shade moves as the game goes on. Check your next game before you buy.

Shaded seats at T-Mobile Park: what to expect
Which side is shaded at a day game?
T-Mobile Park’s retractable roof covers the field when it is closed, but the sides stay open. With the roof open, a day game starts with the sun high behind the first-base stands, so the left-field seats and the third-base side of the Main Level (100s) look into it and get the early sun. In April and September most of the first-base side of the Main Level starts in shade, while in June it is closer to an even split. As the sun moves around behind home plate, the third-base side loses it, and by about 4 PM that side of the Main Level is mostly shaded. The Terrace Club (200 level) and the View Level (300s) stay mostly in the shade through a day game.
Where does the sun set at a night game?
Seattle stays light late in June and July. At a 6:40 or 7:10 first pitch the sun is still above the horizon, behind the third-base stands, and the right-field seats face it. At a June 6:40 start the Main Level seats from right field around toward first base begin in the sun and lose it within about an hour, and the sun sets while the game is still going. In April and September the Main Level is already in shade at first pitch.
